Dr. Howard Gardner is recognized worldwide for his pioneering "Theory of Multiple Intelligences" as a framework to understand the complex nature of human intelligence. A core principle of this theory is the recognition that people think and learn differently and that intelligence can be expressed in a multitude of ways. Dr. Gardner defines eight separate intellectual domains: verbal/linguistic, logical/mathematical, spatial, musical, body/kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal and naturalist.

I found the Gardner school when my daughter's science teacher at a local public school recommended her for a scholarship to attend her 7th and 8th grade year at The Gardner School.

Wow!!! It has been a huge change for me and my daughter from a public middle school to a private school. She loves the hard work and the chance to be part of the school community.

I hope in this blog the reader and me, the blogger can learn more about the theory behind the school and what the rest of the education community has to say.
